So often life gets in the way of life! Life is not meant to be stagnant, we need to find new adventures no matter how small. Perhaps an adventure to you in your twenties was climbing Mount Everest and now taking the time to walk to the local park seems like an effort. This is most likely because along the way you made a decision that adventure wasn’t as important as security and comfort. But you can have both. In fact, being adventurous takes many forms, be it making new friends or taking on a mental, emotional or physical challenge. It’s time to redefine adventure and take action towards incorporating it into your life each and every day without fail. I hope you enjoy this week’s affirmation.
I have many tasks to accomplish in an average day. Taking care of myself, my home, family, and career are no doubt my life priorities. Even though my life is exceptionally full of things to do, I make time to discover new people, places, things, and activities.
I strive for adventure every single day.
For me, being adventurous means that I am willing to seek new experiences. Being open to doing something new enriches my life in so many ways. Life presents to me endless possibilities and I am thrilled to discover the novelty in them.
The more adventures I experience, the more adventures I pursue. My zest for life drastically increases when I look for new and daring enterprises.
I accept the unknown aspects of my adventures with an open mind. I embrace the feelings of surprise, joy and exhilaration that accompany my adventures.
Sometimes, I find positive adventures in what can seem the most ordinary of places. Where possible. I introduce myself to like minded people who are open to meeting others. I find new acquaintances. I occasionally join a new club or group to expand my horizons, be it in real life or online. I like to expose myself to new activities and people with the idea to be open to learning more about others to open myself up to new adventures for my own pleasure.
Today, I notice every opportunity for an adventure and happily look forward to the new experiences that are coming my way. I live my life to the fullest extent possible and finding adventure is an enriching aspect of it.
- Do I notice new possibilities for adventure? How do I respond?
- How do I feel about meeting people, going to new places, and taking part in new activities?
- What activity would be an exciting adventure for me? When can I schedule this?
seeking pleasure in the everyday creates an extraordinary life
If you haven’t used affirmations before there is no right way or wrong way to get started. Whether you print them out and read when you like or record them into your phone and listen to them up to 3 times a day, so long as you connect with the affirmation then you are on your way to mastering it. You can also choose an inanimate object that symbolises the concept for you and carry it with you in the day, or add something meaningful to your vision board. You can use this affirmation as part of your meditation. Some people just like to use them as talking points with their friends or inspire them to make wallpapers to share on social media. Whatever feels right, is what was intended for you now you have found your affirmation, so have fun with it.
