I want to remind not just the women on International Women’s Day but the men too, that your dreams are worth fighting for. Do not let the reality of any other person take even one ounce of happiness from you. Do not give your power away.
Whatever life stage you are at don’t let anyone or any feeling tell you that your dreams are not available to you. At over 35 I am considered a geriatric mother. I have had obstacles placed in my way.
I have also had to overcome physical, emotional and mental abuse through my childhood years and been gaslighted even as an adult by people who were supposed to keep me safe. Even pregnant there are situations created by people who do not wish me well – some say in an attempt to try and jeopardise the pregnancy. This is their journey. It is not mine. I share this with you because I know situations pregnant or not can get overwhelming. I know situations pregnant or not can feel like they will never change. I know fear can hold people back but I’m here to say Slap Fear In The Face!

Getting pregnant wasn’t an easy journey. There were times when it got overwhelming, there were times it seemed so far away but my belief in the fact it was going to happen no matter what the timeline kept me going.
It is very easy to get attached to an outcome. It is however not helpful. Being aligned with your purpose whether that is being a mother, entrepreneur, running the world, making an impact, being there for loved ones, contributing to something greater than yourself or just existing in the now with flexibility that’s what matters. That’s what creates memories. That’s what enables you to move on from this world with no regrets.
Don’t focus on others or what others have. Focus on you and what you want out of life. You can do it. You deserve it. You will get it. Drop an emoji on my Instagram or comment if this resonates with you. Or share it if you think it will help someone else.
